Turn-of-the-Century Deep Amber Glass Bottle
Turn-of-the-Century Deep Amber Glass Bottle
Crafted in a heavy dark amber glass that borders on black, this early twentieth century export style bottle carries a rich, grounded presence. Molded by William Franzen and Son in Milwaukee between 1900 and 1915, the bottle features a hand finished lip made using a specialty tooling device, visible in the soft uneven line just below the collar. The long neck, deep hue, and base embossing pay quiet tribute to pre Prohibition glassmaking, bringing warm history to open kitchen shelving or a windowsill.
Hand-finished vintage condition with clean embossing on the base. Shows gentle surface wear along the rim and glass consistent with over a century of age.
