Antique Chinoiserie Ironstone Teacups & Saucers, Set of 4
Antique Chinoiserie Ironstone Teacups & Saucers, Set of 4
Styled with the vibrant hand-applied enamel work of Art Deco studio pottery, this set of four pairs traditional English ironstone with a Chinoiserie fruit garland reminiscent of Rose Canton designs. Mottled cream glazes and solid gold-gilt loop handles give these heavy earthenware pieces a quiet, gathered charm at the table.
Styled in the manner of iconic Art Deco studio artists, like Charlotte Rhead, Crown Ducal or M.E. Schlecter, and carries fruit motif depictions of pomegranates, berries, and lemons.
Character marks include a small rim chip on one teacup and one saucer, along with a stable hairline crack on one cup that does not affect its structural hold.
