Vintage 1951 Homer Laughlin US Navy Anchor Plate Glaze Error

A fascinating find for military collectors and vintage china enthusiasts, this Vintage Dec 1951 Homer Laughlin US Navy Side Plate offers a unique glimpse into mid-century manufacturing. Produced during the Korean War era, this heavy-duty vitrified military mess plate features the classic fouled anchor insignia stamped in a striking deep navy blue, but stands out due to a distinct, rare factory glaze error that occurred during production.
The reverse side features the authentic Homer Laughlin backstamp code "U-M", accurately dating this piece to December 1951. Built to the rigid standards of the United States Navy, this commercial-grade ironstone piece holds historical value both as a piece of militaria and as a unique production anomaly.
