Antique Caldwell's Syrup Pepsin Aqua Bottle
Antique Caldwell's Syrup Pepsin Aqua Bottle
Embossed with "Dr. W. B. Caldwell's Monticello, Illinois" along its face, this late nineteenth century apothecary bottle carries a rich Midwest health history. First formulated in Monticello in 1892, Caldwell’s Syrup Pepsin became one of America's most widely recognized remedies for indigestion and family wellness. Cast in pale seafoam glass, its slender rectangular form catches natural light to reveal subtle air bubbles and historic glass texture. Stamped with the circled P trademark and mold code 13 on its base, it brings an honest, settled character to a sunlit window sill or open kitchen shelving.
Turn-of-the-century molded glass with crisp raised lettering. Shows soft age-appropriate surface wear, mold lines, and light glass character consistent with over a century of history.
